“The first Foreign Policy Talks series meeting took place on Thursday, 4 June between 17:00-18:00 (GMT +3) Live on ZOOM, focusing on “The Current State of Turkish-Greek Relations”, where invited experts from the two countries assessed the key issues affecting the relationship and whether a road map on how to move ahead is possible in the near future. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, Uluslararası İlişkiler Konseyi Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı ve Kadir Has Üniversitesi Öğretim üyesidir. Halen Euro-Mediterranean University (Slovenya) Senato Üyeliği ve World Council for Middle Eastern Studies Yönetim Kurulu üyeliği görevlerini sürdüren Prof Aydın, European Academy of Sciences and Art, European Leadership Network, Global Relations Forum, Turkish Atlantic Council, International Political Science Association ve International Studies Association üyesidir. Bugüne kadar yurt içi ve dışında çok sayıda üniversite ve araştırma merkezinde çalışmalar yürütmüş olan Aydın’ın Türk dış ve güvenlik politikaları, uluslararası güvenlik, uluslararası ilişkiler teorileri ile Karadeniz, Kafkaslar ve Orta Asya bölgeleri jeopolitik ve güvenliği üzerine yayınlanmış çok sayıda çalışması bulunmaktadır.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dimitrios Triantaphyllou, is an associate Professor of International Relations at Kadir Has University, Istanbul. He is also, since September 2010, the Director of the Center for International and European Studies at Kadir Has University in Istanbul where he also teaches international relations. He holds a BA in Political Science and History from the University of California, Berkeley and an MA and Ph.D. in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University. He was previously Director General of the International Centre for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS) and Assistant Professor of International Relations at the University of the Aegean, Rhodes (2006-2010). He was also Special Advisor at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic (2004-2006)
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kostas Ifantis, is a member of Department of International Relations, Kadir Has University and at Panteion University of Athens. He worked as a Lecturer in International and European Politics at the Universities of Bradford and Portsmouth, UK (1991-1995). He was a USIA Visiting Fellow at the Center for Political studies, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (1998) a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University (2002), an IAA Senior Research Fellow at the LSE (2009), and a Visiting Professor at the University of Seul (Summer 2016). Between 2005 and 2008 he served as Director for Research at the Policy Planning Center of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Prof. Dr. Panayotis J. Tsakonas, is a member of Security and Foreign Policy Analysis at the Department of Mediterranean Studies, University of the Aegean, Rhodes, Greece. He has been NATO Research Fellow, post-doctoral fellow at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University, Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the Macmillan Center for International and Area Studies at Yale University and an Academic Visitor at St Antony’s College at Oxford University. He has worked as an Advisor at the Hellenic Ministries of National Defense and of Foreign Affairs. He served on the Scientific and Executive Boards of various state and private think-tanks and he has lectured at Universities in Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Germany, Great Britain, United States and Canada.
